JK Business Trip (Shanghai)
A candid one-day diary of a JK Plastic Surgery specialist flying to Shanghai to conduct back-to-back consultations with Chinese VIP clients.

One day in September, when the weather was just beginning to cool.
I rushed out of the house in the early hours before sunrise.
My destination this time wasn't the clinic — it was the airport.

It was the day of my business trip to Shanghai, China.
Drowsy with fatigue, I dozed off on the bus, and before I knew it we had arrived at the airport.

Even though I was here for work, the airport always fills me with a sense of excitement. :)

Perhaps because it was early on a weekday morning, I didn't have to wait long and finished checking in quickly,

then ordered a coffee at Dunkin' Donuts.
There's been a big push lately to cut down on single-use plastic straws...
Looks like the cup design has changed. :)
It's a little inconvenient,
but it still seems like a great idea!

As I walked by, I noticed an AI robot roaming around — apparently it gives directions and even takes photos for people.
I wanted to give it a try, but felt a little shy and passed! Maybe next time I'll do it with my child. Ha.

After a long wait, we finally boarded. I read the newspaper and listened to music while waiting for departure.

Ah~ the clouds are absolutely gorgeous. They look just like a fluffy cotton duvet!

I thought I'd have a meal and rest a bit, but before I knew it we had arrived. Less than two hours — it really does go by in a flash.

I met the local contact who had come to pick me up and we quickly made our way out of the airport. The schedule was packed, so we had to move fast — barely a moment to breathe!

A car was waiting for us.

According to the driver, this car has three front seats — apparently a world first. Is that really true??
I assumed the front seat had simply been folded forward... but he insisted that wasn't the case. Ha.
Did they really need to make it three seats though...? Lol.

A large tablet screen pops up — ta-da!

Oh, Korean Naver loads just fine. :) We rode comfortably for about an hour on our way to the destination.

Arriving at the hotel where the consultations would take place, we were greeted by a grand and impressive entrance.

The interior was sleek and impeccably clean.

We met our contact in the lobby and made our way to the consultation room.

Walking down a long corridor,

I spotted a familiar face in the distance. Ha.

Peekaboo.

The consultation venue.
Apparently it's a space primarily used
for business meetings.

The view from the window.

The purpose of this trip was to provide consultations for JK Plastic Surgery's Chinese VIP clients.
Though time was limited, I gave every client my full attention and did my very best.
After wrapping up about four hours of back-to-back consultations, it was back to the airport!

Making a round trip to China in a single day is no easy feat. It was a tight schedule, but it was a truly meaningful day.

Looking forward to the next trip...
Bye-bye!
